WHO WE ARE: A bunch of overweight, out of shape former Vassar College athletes unwilling to let the dream of worldwide basketball glory come to an end.
WHAT WE NEED: Money from you to be donated to the Boys and Girls Club of America in our name.
WHY WE NEED IT: Because the world needs to know that even if you're in your early 30s, fat and balding, working at a job in a city you can't afford because it's what you're supposed to do when you leave college, your dream of basketball immortality is still within your reach.
We're Rudy for working stiff. We're the Hoosiers of middle management. We're The Mighty Ducks for the office drone who spends every daylight hour inventing ways to get the hell out of his cubicle. We played in the NCAA and went pro in something other than sports, but these so-called "professional athletes" need to learn that just because we spend our days working for the man doesn't mean that we can't still LAY THE LUMBER.
We're playing for everyone that ever felt like Office Space was written about their life.
And that is why you need donate to the Boys and Girls Club of America on our behalf. Because if we raise the most money for charity, we will get the chance to prove to everyone that dreams never die and underdogs do exist.
