M. Dung thanks you!!.
That being said, I am not out of the woods. I was diagnosed with myleofibrosis last year. It is a blood cancer and could be advancing, and may be the reason I am now experiencing so much pain and swelling in my joints. The pain meds don't seem to be helping and every move is a struggle. The hematologist at Valley Care is going to take me as a patient. He is affiliated with Stanford University so I am hopeful he can help me figure this out.
I might be lucky, and this pain may be from reactive arthritis. Needless to say, there will be more tests, and more waiting until we know what is going on. Being diabetic on top of all of this has really thrown the medical staff for a loop.
I have had to turn down 3 job offers within the past month, one of which I really wanted. Judy has been working 2 jobs, and is pretty wiped out. I am not sure how long it will take, or if I can get either short or long term disability. So, as difficult as this is, I am reaching out to you, for a little financial help while we get through one of the toughest times of my life.
Music is my passion, and I like to share it with anyone who will listen. I really want to get back to my studio and whip it out for you baby!
Please give what you can, any amount will help.
(Judy posting for Mike.)
I wanted to let people know what is going on with Mike. He continues to have health issues, and now he is having issues with his eyes, so he can't see. We are hoping surgery this week at UCSF will help.
I posted to Facebook the other day that we need help with rides from our home in Sunol to UCSF. I will be going back to work full-time this week and it is going to be tough for me to take him to all his appointments. We have one friend who can help, but with all the appointments, (usually 2 a week), it is too much to ask of one person.
We are going to check with the Department of Social Services to see if they come out this way. I am not sure how long the process will be to get someone assigned to his case, then approvals, etc. In the meantime, I am just trying to find someone or a service that can help. The challenges are his eyesight, he has limited mobility (we have a wheelchair), and the fact we live in Sunol. So, if you know someone looking for a part time gig, send me an email at: email@example.com.
Thanks for all your support!
Sorry to here your still not outta da woods, but glad your crawling outta da hole. I had Reactive Arthritis RA in my right side extremities about 1-1/2 ago. I was off work for 6 months, got a Blood clot (DVT) in my calf for added enjoyment. Took time just to stand. Took time just to walk with crutches. Took time to walk unassisted, but I pushed and crawled and battled. Now i'm 99.9% all good. Mountain biking harder than I ever did before. Biking has been my Arthritic savoir for years. Good luck Dung and keep keepin' on!
