Emergency support for Jose Coyote
Donation protected
Jose Coyote is an inspirational leader in the struggle for labor rights for New York dairy farmworkers. On July 15 he was taken to emergency care at Rochester General Hospital, where he endured an operation to drain liquid from his brain. He remains in critical condition in the intensive care unit. The cause is undetermined but thought to be related to a parasite he contracted in Mexico some years ago.
Jose is a loving father to 4 young children, Antonio, Cesar, Dominic and Jason, who he cares for with his wife, Elizabeth. He is well-known for his kindness and generosity towards his fellow farmworkers and his friends. His illness is tragic and of great concern to all who support New York farmworkers.
Jose is unable to work to support his family. We are extremely concerned about the well-being of Jose, Elizabeth, and their four young sons' during this critical time, and in the future. A financial donation of any amount would make a significant difference in their lives. We hope you will stand in solidarity with Jose, as he has done for so many other farmworkers and friends who have experienced hardship.
