Danny Alvarez Memorial Fund

From triumph to tragedy. On May 22, Danny Alvarez had won the judicial primary for Jefferson County District Court. The next day, he collapsed at his home and died. The 43-year old married father of three leaves behind his wife of four years, Therese, a son, Benedict, age 3, and two daughters, Isabela, age 1, and, Gabriela, age 13.
Danny, a son of immigrant parents, would have been the first Hispanic judge in the history of Kentucky. A true public servant, tireless advocate for justice, and a symbol of hope for many, Danny was loved by everyone who was lucky enough to be in his orbit.
This fund will support his wife during this unfathomable loss with the numerous expenses related to childcare, education, and living expenses for the long journey ahead.
