Flood Relief Expenses

I am Tim Schuppan St. Louis, MO and we are raising funds for my sister Emilie Hayes and her family.

On December 29th 2015, Emilie and Steve Hayes and their 4 children, Aly, Will, Joey & Katy evacuated their home to escape record setting floodwaters in St. Louis County, MO.

The first picture was taken December 30 with the water still rising and the Meramec River expected to crest on December 31 at 44.11 feet which is 28 feet above flood stage!

Emilie, Steve, family, neighbors and friends spent the day sandbagging frantically to save their home. The family collapsed into their beds that night only to be jarred awake hours later by a loud bang!

The family of 6 was able to escape their home in the middle of the night as floodwaters blew open the basement door and began filling the basement. They managed to get out safely with the kids and only enough time to grab a few days of clothes and their 2 dogs, Gilly and Gidget.

My sister and her family are facing many unknowns as the New Year is about to begin and they could use your support to help face these concerns. They do have flood insurance with a high deductable but we do not know how long it will take or to what degree the insurance will cover. In the meantime expenses are beginning to mount and they sure could use your help. Thank you
