Help Tanya Fight Cancer!!
In 2012 she was declared cancer free and has since married the man of her dreams. They now have a sweet baby girl named Isabelle who will become a one year old on October 20th, 2015.
Recently, Tanya visited the ER as she had been experiencing pain and was having a hard time breathing; after a few days of intensive testing, her worst fears were confirmed: she has stage 4 breast cancer and it has spread to her lungs.
Each of us has been touched by cancer sometime in our lives, either a friend or a family member has won or lost to it. We are all familiar with the physical and mental strain it causes families; from the cost of chemotherapy and medication, to appointments, after effects and stress.
Her and her family are ready to fight this with everything they have but the costs will add up quickly. She will not be able to return to work.
I am here asking for support and encouragement for this beautiful young woman who once again is having to battle for her life. Please help support Tanya so she can make it through this fight and be able to grow old with her loving husband and see her daughter grow up. Every effort will be appreciated, and I will never be able to find the right words to thank you enough.
Tanya Vilcu's fight on this earth is over, cancer has taken a precious soul from us all once again. She is amongst many of our own loved ones in a place without pain or sorrow, only love and joy.
When Tanya was diagnosed with cancer this second time she was told by her doctors that she would have at most 3 months to live. That was almost one year ago.
She lasted much longer than 3 months and we all know why. Her strength. She was a fighter to the depths of her core, she never once gave up or stopped fighting this disease.
All of your donations and prayers helped Tanya gain an extra year of her life, she was able to seek treatment in Mexico and gather strength to be home with her precious Papusica, little Isabelle and her amazingly strong husband Mirca.
Tanya did everything possible to keep her body strong and healthy but this cancer was just too aggressive with her and it eventually won.
When I picture Tanya, I see an angel in front of me with piercing yet loving eyes, a blonde beauty with a smile that could melt anyone's heart and always make you feel comfortable. I will always see her as a fighter and a selfless loving mother and wife.
We all will have our own memories of her and many of us have known her longer than others, I only wish I was lucky enough to meet her sooner in my own life.
Mike will keep everyone informed of the funeral arrangements as we celebrate Tanya's life as a daughter, a sister, a wife, a mother, and an amazingly loyal and true friend.
Please keep this wonderful, loving family in your prayers each and everyday, pray for strength to help both Mike and Isabelle continue their journey together.
This is Mike, Tanya's husband and I would like to thank everyone for your support through this difficult time. You all have given us so much hope and strength through your kindness and love. I can never thank you enough for what you have done for my family.
As some of you might know Tanya was in the hospital for two months and we were able to get her better and come home to us.
The past few months were very difficult for us but we never lost our faith in God! God can make everything better in an instant and we hold on to that hope until the last second no matter what "The specialists" say.
I come to you today and ask you to pray for Tanya because thats what she needs most at this time. I know that God will listen to our prayers and no matter what happens He has us in the palm of His hand.
We are continuing with all the treatments that are necessary and I promise you that we will do everything it takes to get Tanya better.
Please take a minute out of your day and pray for her!
She recently had a CT scan done to see where the cancer stands since returning home and today she received the great news that the cancer HAS NOT spread!!! It's been 3 months without chemo and she is fighting it!! The treatment and education she received in Mexico proves to be doing amazing work for her.
This past Friday Tanya was at home when she started experiencing excruciating pain, pain she describes as something she has NEVER felt before. Mike took her to the ER in the middle of the night and she was admitted into Grand River hospital. She will remain there until the doctors find a reason for this pain. They have done an ultrasound and they have put her on a pain pump, she has no appetite at all and is waiting to see the Oncologist. They will be seeing her tomorrow to (hopefully) diagnose where this pain is coming from. This lady has been through so much and keeps on fighting!! She really does need our prayers, she has lost weight since being home from Mexico and now is going through this.
I want to start requesting donations again, if I may. Tanya really needs to get back to Mexico for another round of treatments. It will take another 3 weeks for one round of treatment and the cost is roughly $30,000. They simply do not have the money for this right now, I want to reach out to all family and friends and ask if you are able to donate anything to help her get another round of these much needed treatments.
One day Tanya WILL be cancer free and when that day comes we will have the biggest celebration and you will all be our guests of honour. Thank you for keeping Tanya in your prayers and again for every ounce of support you have and continue to give.
Every little or big thing you've done has truly touched her life and I can't say thank you enough. I wish each and everyone of you a life full of amazing happiness, love and peace. One day precious little Isabelle will be saying thank you as well, all of your amazing acts of kindness have helped bring her mommy home to celebrate Christmas with her this year and so many more to come!! :) We all love you Tanya, and can't wait to see you this weekend.
