Help Me Help My Brother

My brother, Scott, has worked hard and paid a lot of money into the system over the years. He has been waiting for 2.5 years for disability and the last 18 months for a disability hearing which we finally had recently. Still no answer. It could be another 90 days or more.

Scott planned well for retirement and has been able to survive with no income this entire time.

Scott can no longer work. He is in constant pain. He has many medical conditions that keep him from doing everyday tasks.

I am asking everyone who knows Scott and even people who don't to help me help my brother. For the first time in his life, he missed a mortgage payment waiting for his disability to be approved. It breaks my heart to know that I do not have the financial means to help him. He helped me so much when I was getting divorced and moved back to Ohio to be near my family with two small children. He lifted me up and helped me to survive because he had the means. He deserves the same. Scott has helped his friends and people he didn't know when there was a need because he is a generous person and as a Buckeye believes, "You can never pay back, so you should always try to pay forward." -- Coach Woody Hayes. I have heard this countless times from him. One year we started calling him Scotty Claus as he was making lots of Christmas wishes come true.

Please help me help Scott meet his monthly expenses until his disability case is settled.
