Zoey Aylsworth's Medical Expenses

Donation protected
At midnight on February 13th, 2-year-old Zoey Aylsworth was taken to the emergency room in Pullman, WA and then transported to Sacred Heart Children's Hospital in Spokane, WA, with significant internal bleeding of the GI tract. After a blood transfusion, an endoscopy, a procedure to band the swollen varices in her esophagus, an ultrasound, and a CT scan, the doctors found the problem - a congenital anomaly - Portal Hypertension. This means the vein transporting blood to the liver is undersized, causing increased pressure in the portal vein, leading to large swollen veins in her esophagus and stomach. These varices ruptured and bled.  The doctors in Spokane were able to stabilize her, but she still needs a procedure done in Seattle to place a shunt (TIPS procedure).

The family has insurance, but there is still a $4500 deductible. Plus, there are other expenses associated with her condition that are accruing, including $900 for plane fare to Seattle. Zoey's parents, Anne and Matt Ayslworth, are in need of financial help to pay expenses that insurance does not cover. Please consider donating to sweet Zoey's family.
