My name is Zock Zochert. I am here to raise money for my parents. They are not my blood parents, they adopted me. They chose me during a very rough time in my life. They went on to teach me so much, right and wrong, honor, true happiness, but more than anything they taught me how to be a good person. This is why I am here on GoFundMe today.
My step-dad, Don Paeth, had 2 heart attacks Saturday night, March 5th, back to back. He is doing better now. Tomorrow the surgeons are going to run a camera through the arteries of his heart to prepare for his “Open Heart Bypass Surgery”. Now this GoFundMe is NOT for his surgery, he was in the service when he was young so the VA Hospital bills are all covered. This fundraiser is for the recovery time of 6-8 months. As the sole bread winner between my parents, they are about to face very hard times.
My brother and I can't really help because we are recovering from our surgeries. I had Cholecystitis and acute necrosis of my gallbladder and was given a “3 days to live, or surgery” choice. My brother Steve just got the disc between his lumbar vertebrae and his sacrum deflated in his spine. That has all been in the last 3 weeks. Our family has had a really rough go of it recently.
My step-dad does construction and remodels. I wish I had some pictures of his before and afters, he is amazingly talented! However, with the nature of his job, you can see why he won't be able to rush back to it any time soon after the surgery.
My parents need help, and all I can do is ask you for it. We need it as soon as possible. The hard part is already here, and tomorrow morning it gets a little harder. With all these surgeries, my mom is doing the best she can just holding it together. She is an amazing woman, and I have to do something to help.
This means the world to me, they are my world, they are my family. I didn't know how much family meant until they chose me. He taught me how to ride a motorcycle, she taught me compassion, and they taught me to be a good person, and a respectable young man.
I will be forever thankful for anything you can help with.
