I am writing on behalf of my Aunt Jody. She was hospitalized recently for 12 days and received some difficult news. She was diagnosed with a pulmonary embolism (blood clots in the lungs).
My aunt has already racked up many thousands of dollars in hospital and doctors’ bills. She does not have insurance but hopefully is getting qualified for several relief programs. These programs will help put a dent in the cost, but she will still be left with a massive bill. We are asking for help during this time of need. Any contributions would be greatly appreciated. If donations cannot be made, prayers are always good to have flowing in.
My Aunt Jody is an awesome lady with lots of love and fight in her. By the way, she is a long-time professional stuntwoman and a GLOW wrestler. As a wrestler with the Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling, her ring name is Tulsa, the High Riding Cowgirl of GLOW.
We thank you all so much for taking the time to read this and for any donations or prayers you send. Have a blessed day!!
Jody has tried to be brave during this horrible ordeal she has suffered with her health. Her spirits are lifted when she hears from friends, fans, GLOW girls, the countless number of other wrestlers, and from her awesome stunt buddies. Not to mention the VIPs in the TV and movie industry! The other day, Jody said, “People have been so nice to me.” Her voice trembled when she made this remark. She is both overwhelmed at the encouraging words from all of you, and sad that she can’t be in the mix of activities going on at this time. She was depressed about not being able to attend the annual convention of the Cauliflower Alley Club for wrestlers in Las Vegas. And she desperately wanted to “set sail” with the GLOW girls on the AfterGlow Cruise. She would like to say to the wrestlers, “Bon Voyage!” Please post as many photos as possible on Facebook so she can cruise with you vicariously!
Her best friend Mickey has helped her negotiate with the specialists who treated her to receive a reduction in billing. But the bills are still enormous and seem to arrive every day. Please donate if you can and please continue with your prayers, emails, and cards. No donation is too small! I love my sister, and want to see her happy again. If Momma were still alive, she would say to Jody, “This too shall pass.” Please help if you can. Thank you so much!
