Nourie House Fire Recovery Fund
I am asking for help for some dear friends of mine - The Nourie family - that have lost everything they own in a devastating house fire in the town I used to live in: Knightdale, NC. The fire occurred in the middle of the afternoon on July 16, 2015. Any donation - no matter the amount - is truly appreciated! They need our help and please share! This one hits me very close because my own kids have slept - upstairs - in that house on many, many occasions. Their loss is heartbreaking.
They will have to replace 100% of their possessions because of the toxic nature of smoke, the heat from fire and the damage of water. From the clothes in their kids' dressers, to the food on their shelves, the Nouries are looking for some immediate assistance. Especially the kids, who will need new clothes and book bags for school that will soon start.
Kids' clothing sizes are:
-- Boy #1: 14 top/16 bottom/size 9 men's shoe
-- Boy #2: 10 top/10 bottom/size 3 youth shoe
-- Girl: 4T/size 8.5 Toddler shoeThey have no bedding. No food. No clothing. No furniture. The process of replacing their home will take months and months and your donations will help relieve a financial burden they will endure.
Thank you to The Eastern Wake Fire Department, Wake-New Hope Fire Department, Knightdale Fire Department and Eastern Wake EMS who all assisted in putting the fire out, as well as saving a neighboring structure from exposure.
PLEASE HELP! Thank you, in advance, for any donated amount!
God Bless!
