Zeus da Moose Needs Jaw Abscess Surgery

Poor Zeus not only lost his home and his human last week, he also has a mandible abscess that is causing him lots of pain, and he needs surgery right away. He is scheduled for Wednesday, April 24th. 2019.
The awesome news is that if we raise $1500.00 - Dr Kanfer and Exotic Animal Veterinary Center will cover the rest. That is a HUGE discount.

Zeus is seven years old. He has spent those years living alone, outside in the yard, so he is very shy and not really used to being handled. His human did spend time with him, but she did not really handle him. This is pretty tough considering he needs a lot of medical care, which requires being handled multiple times per day. But he is a sweet little guy and trying hard to adapt (although still not so sure about what that hay box is for other than munching!).
His surgery will cost a minimum of $1931.00, but will likely be significantly more (as detailed in this estimate). We already have a huge outstanding balance but we couldn't say no to this poor little man. Losing his home, human and needing this surgery were bad enough. We could not let him go to a shelter, where he would likely never be treated at all, so we welcomed him into the Zooh Corner Sanctuary Rabbit program.
