What is Liquid Proust Teas?
Liquid Proust Teas is the outlet I birthed to fuse my creativity with my passion for tea. The name came about as my love for Marcel Proust’s major work, In Search of Lost Time, began to completely change how I thought. This reading journey filled me with joy that is still working its magic on me today, thus the name Liquid Proust came about. Taste of tea/s linger about in my mind just as Proust’s words do; and so the mission was born as I told myself, “I shall do the best I can to create teas that can provide the same result for others”.
Why a Go Fund Me?
Tea is what I am passionate about and nothing is going to stop me, however there are things that will slow down the process of making tea A or B. As the title hints: Does Liquid Proust Teas go on new journeys now or have some patiance?
Blending doesn’t cost all that much because all you have to do is take time to play with mixing different ingredients, but what does cost money is all the other stuff I want to do. The projects that I have in mind include the following:
1) Roasting milk oolong
2) Smoking vanilla into dianhong
3) Aging ripe pu’erh in whiskey barrels with crystallized honey
4) Relending Verdant’s Laoshan Black Chocolate Genmaicha (I have been given permission and would be using their product)
5) Creating a Watermelon Oolong with Beautiful Taiwan Tea Company’s green oolong from Farmer Chang (I must pass the taste test for this to go through though)
6) Work with other tea companies to make one signature blend from Liquid Proust Teas using their farmer sourced tea. Communication currently exist with Yunnan Sourcing, Tealet, What Cha, and Yunomi.
The list goes on and eventually ends up with long term projects such as creating ripe pu’erh extract to make pu’erh truffles…

If funding is successful then I will begin to work on everything listed above; the chocolate will wait a bit though. Each person who provides over $25 will receive a bamboo tea canister , a full ounce of any tea listed above, and a coupon that receives a 10% coupon that last a year on my Etsy site.
Anything that falls between $25.01 and $64.99 will be the same as the $25 pledge + random surprises that even I don’t know yet
$65 will include a bamboo canister, an ounce of any tea listed above, a one year 10% coupon, and five ounces of a custom tea that is assigned for me to create. The custom tea will vary in weight due to pricing and must be approved by me as there are some things I am unable to create. I will say this though: A whole order of custom made French Toast DianHong would be a great choice!
*The aged ripe pu’erh wouldn’t be ready until December 2016
