Landon's Medical Fund

Donation protected
My grandson Landon was born on August 31, 2015.    Thus far in his short life he has brought much joy to everyone, but especially to his mom & dad, Tosha and Josh.  Landon has also brought big smiles to his big sisters, twins Brianna and Makayla (5), and twins Chloe and Charissa (3).

On September 21st , Josh & Tosha noticed that Landon's face was looking a little swollen and chapped looking in areas.  They took Landon to the pediatrician Tuesday morning because Landon was getting worse, and his eyes were very puffy and almost swollen shut.  The doctor told them to immediately take him to the ER and was immediately admitted to the hospital.  By that evening his eyes were completely swollen shut.

The doctors initially were saying that they thought Landon had a staph infection, and they began tests for that, also testing for allergies, white blood cell count, etc.  The culture came back negative, as did the tests for allergies, his white blood cell count was in the normal range.   They began treating Landon with IV antibiotics for infantigo (a form of staph) but this worried me since they don't know exactly what he has.

Currently Landon is not covered by medical insurance, and while they have not received any bills yet, we know that they will be staggering when they do come in. His prescription costs alone are quite large, one of them was $80 - at a discounted rate.  Tosha has been off work since 2 weeks prior to Landon's birth until now.  Josh has had to take off from work as well so he could help with the other children and take turns staying with Landon.  They are very worried about the mounting medical costs which is why I decided to start this fund raiser.  I hope that it might help them concentrate on caring for Landon & the other children more, and spend less time worrying about the upcoming bills.

He was released from the hospital yesterday afternoon because he had been responding well to the antiobiotics.  He was able to open his eyes again as well, but today at his check up the doctors said that whatever he has may be gaining resistance to the antibiotics.  The doctors still have not identified exactly what he has, and it is possible that he may be re-admitted to the hospital.

If you are able to help, it would be GREATLY appreciated.  If you aren't able to help, please keep them in your thoughts and prayers.

Thank you so much!
