Zach's SIGGRAPH 2019 Trip
Donation protected
Hey everyone,
I am attending Rochester Institute of Technology, majoring in 3D Digital Design and I've been given a unique opportunity to go to L.A. in order to attend a digital arts convention this summer called SIGGRAPH. A couple of my classmates are going and they invited me but I was hesitant in accepting since I knew it would be a hefty investment. However, I have decided I would go, so now I'm planning on working as much as possible before the trip to try and cover all the expenses, but of course it is still pricey so hence this post. This isn't just a vacation for me though because not only can I learn a bunch from going but I can also potentially land a job at the job fair there, so hopefully this trip will be beneficial in that way. Alone, the expenses just for covering plane tickets, tickets to the convention itself, and housing total just over $1700, but of course since I'm in L.A. I'd also like to have spending money (which I am hoping to earn with my work study) to explore and cover dining expenses because who knows if I'll ever be in California again. Any help is greatly appreciated and you should know that by contributing you are helping expand my experience and helping me find a career, but also letting me have fun exploring L.A.
Thank you!
