Zach and Crystal's New Start

Zach and Crystal have been together for 6 years. In that time they have both worked very hard to create a successful life that they could be proud of.
Crystal graduated from the University at Albany with a journalism degree. She currently works at The Times Union where she was able to land a good job as an editorial assistant. She recently decided to pursue her passion for yoga and received her certification as an instructor as well!
Zach also decided to pursue a career that he has always wanted and graduated from welding school in November. Since then, he has been working on the road with only a few weeks off collectively to come back home.
They were engaged in January and have begun to plan and save for their future and their wedding next September.
Zach was home for a few days this week. He and Crystal were visiting our Grandma, who has just had surgery. While they were out, they received a devastating phone call from their landlord that their apartment building had somehow caught on fire. They lived in Rotterdam Junction with their 21 old cat, Recees.
They hurried back to find their home engulfed in flames. Everything gone. Everything, but the clothes on their back.
After hours of searching for Recees, a firefighter thankfully found her still in the apartment! They took took her straight to vet, where she was treated for smoke inhalation and an ulcer on her eye from the heat. She has eye drops and a medication to coat her throat 3 times a day, but we are thankful she survived!!
They are both very generous people with huge hearts. They ABSOLUTELY deserve the the great life that they have worked so hard towards. Please consider helping them start over with any amount that you can. <3
