Zac Gustafson

Zac Gustafson, a 9 year old with CF (Cystic Fibrosis) now battling CANCER! A loving, kind, giving family are yet again in a struggle of illness in their family. The Gustafson's are a family of 6, the two youngest, Zac and Ella both suffer from CF (Cystic Fibrosis). Zac's condition is much worse as it was caught later in life, nights are spent with a vibrating vest to get the mucus out of his lungs, often activities are missed, and many days throughout the year are spent in the hospital, but with his attitude and love you would not tell.

August 14th Zac has surgery to remove part of his lung due to the CF. After testing, the horrible news of Cancer (Adenocarcinoma) hit the Gustafson's family. This is a complicated situation as chemo cannot be done due to the CF and he is the first case in the world (getting international attention of doctors) of this type of cancer with CF. More of Zac's lung has to be removed on September 17th, and there is not yet a 100% plan on how to fight Zac's cancer and treat his CF.

When joining Zac in his conversation and what he wants to do, he replies "I'll follow God's plan". This boy is beyond a delight. He is stronger than any and he learns this from his family. The family is already swamped with bills due to 2/4 children having CF, daily living and now Zac with cancer.

Sue is a paraprofessional in the school district in which I work and works with children of needs every day, but now she and her family need all of our help when they need it the most; financially and spiritually.
