An Antique eternity diamond band
I lost Everything in Hurricane Katrina. Gene( going on 23years) together swam out of my he house the morning of August29th, 2005. The house caved in all around us. We had to wait until the water equalized, or we would have drowned. My parents and sister lost everything too. Even though we had insurance, including flood, recovery was not kind to us. We are all now renting. Gene and I ,after 5 moves in 10 years , are now in Naples,Florida. My parents and sister are in New Orleans. . I have not seen them in 4 years. My parents house was ruined, but my Ring was in their attic. It was supposedly for safe -keeping for the approaching storm. Gene bought my cherished Ring in L..A.when we were living there. It took him about a year to get my Ring out of Lay -A-Way. By the grace of God, we found it. But when we got to Tampa, several moves later, I finally felt I could part with it for a few days to have it cleaned and appraised. I had brought in a few othe pieces my parents had saved. I had my high school ring which I gave to my sister because she lost hers. When we returned to what we thought was a reputable store , my Ring was not there. We had been there before, just looking We had told the owners of all we had been through. I had to go sit outside and have some tea in the Mall a s Gene went back in. I was in shock but crying too. How could the owners be so cruel? That really hurt me to the core. How could someone really do that? I would love to have a Ring to replace mine. I saw one similar, at the price we are trying to raise. But every estate piece is different. But to look at my left hand with a similar Ring would mean so much to me. It is like making things Right. Another hard thing is that eternity bands can not be sized and I wear a four and a half. Thank You for your help. Blessings to you. And Thank You so very ,very much. of course ,if I found a ring less expensive , I would be thrilled. Also , if any jeweler would want to donate a ring in exchange for an advertising campaign, that would be wonderful. I hope everyone understands that after losing everything,it is comforting to have something that reminds you of your past life. Thank You again Love and Blessings ,Kim
