Lucy Gowen is an 12 year old guitarist from London UK - you can hear more of her music at www.lucygowen.com
She's been playing guitar for just 5 years but has already attracted worldwide attention and compliments for her musical achievements, primarily from the online audio and video content posted of her online.
We are now seeking additional funding assistance to upgrade Lucy's music and video recording equipment to further promote her as a musician over the next 18 months.
- In May 2013, after coming 2nd place at a talent show in Woolwich, London, Lucy was asked to perform in The Painted Hall Greenwich for the Inauguration of The Mayor of Greenwich.
- In May 2015 Lucy was invited to play with George Trebor and Rythme Futur at the London residence of US Ambassador Matthew Burzon.
- In Apr 2014 Lucy was interviewed on US radio station KRFC in Colorado
- In Sept 2014 Lucy attracted the attention of former Guns n Roses guitarist Ron 'Bumblefoot' Thal via Twitter, receiving compliments on her YouTube video
Lucy has over 6000 Twitter followers and has already gained over 100,000 views of her various online music videos, and received endorsements from musical equipment manufacturers. She is currently collaborating and recording with other young musicians worldwide and would love to be able to develop her skills and find new performance opportunities. Lucy has 3 video projects already in production and half a dozen others planned to be released in video and audio formats over the next 12-18 months, but she needs your help to do so!
In 2015 Lucy began performing and busking in public across the UK in order to help fund her recording and video production. Lucy has already invested over £2000 GBP of her own money from what she has earned from public performances in buying equipment and funding music and video recordings. She is keen to network and find more opportunities to perform and play with other musicians, and so we're seeking funding help to be able to upgrade the facilities she has at home, including musical and photographic equipment, help towards the maintenance and upkeep of Lucy's instruments and assistance with travel expenses to Lucy's public performances. Additional funds would also enable us to to hire professional music and video production help too for her future video productions.
