Keep Alicia Home

Please help us to keep my sister home. My sister Alicia Moya Garay, was arrested over a traffic infraction on July 17th.  When she was stopped she was arrested for unpaid traffic violations. Then she was transferred to ICE custody on July 28th. The immigration judge granted my sister a bond and we were able to get her home on August 17th. Her deportation hearing is coming next and we need help for a retainer and other legal fees. My sister is 27 years old and a mother of two young boys, Damian who is 8 and Sammy who is 5. She lives for them, and awaits the great things they will do in the future. Like so many single mothers, she had been unable to make a payment on the traffic fines.   Alicia belongs at home, and our family belongs together. Alicia has always lived and worked in the United States. Las Vegas is her home. She is a leader in her sons' school as part of the Parent Teacher Association board at her sons' school. Alicia is a victim of the poli-migra. When she was arrested, we arrived at the jail to post bond with cash in our hands. The LVMPD refused to accept bond, because immigration wanted her. A municipal judge charged her for the traffic violations, but when she was due to be released, Las Vegas City Jail held her for an additional night on an ICE hold, until immigration arrived to take her into custody. Sheriff Lombardo and the LVMPD say they only use the controversial 287g deportation program to deport criminals.
