Yuliana, who has been part of our family for almost 4 years and caretaker of Lukajack has fallen ill. She has been a huge part of Lukajack’s life since birth.
She has lost both her kidneys and is on dialysis to stay alive.
Yuliana needs your help to get a kidney transplant.

On February 11th Juliana was rushed to the hospital late in the evening. Her family did not know what was going on, she had been healthy and fine. Within hours the doctors discovered that both her kidneys were failing. Since then Juliana has gone to 2 other doctors who have diagnosed her with kidney failure. Her only way of survival is to be on dialysis 3 times a week for 3 hours at a time. She just turned 23 in April and needs a kidney transplant.
The shock of this has been in some ways debilitating. She's young and vibrant and is coming to terms about her situation. Her dialysis cost roughly $1500 USD per month. She is quickly going through her savings and has received some individual as well as government help but very little.
She has signed herself up to receive a donation in Aguas Calientes as well as in Leon. It can take anywhere from 3 months to a year to receive a compatible donor. The cost of the transplant including almost all medical expenses is anywhere between 35,000.00-50,000.00 depending on how smoothly the procedure goes and if she can get any discounts for medicines. We want to raise money to help cover cost of her dialysis as she waits for her transplant as well as her transplant for it could happen any day. Any donation, for as small as it might seem, is a huge help.

Yuliana has been our employee for almost 4 years since Lukajack was born.
The funds will be going into my account and I will be delivering them to her when the fundraiser is complete. We are going to be raising funds for 3 months. We will be transferring the funds to Juliana in Mexico, which she will be using for her kidney transplant expenses. She has a bank account in San Miguel in her name where she has been saving her money for this as well.
