Yukie Needs Our Help

Yukie is amazing and I'm saddened everyday to think of what the last 2 years (at least 2 years that I know of) must have been like. Yukie was abandoned at a veterinarians office where they kept her in a cage and used her as a blood donor. I was asked if I could help find her a home by a third party. I said I would take her into rescue and find her a home.
I had no idea that she was so sick and apparently neither did they. I guess no one at the animal hospital thought to check why she was so skinny, incontinent, drinking insane amounts of water, patches of hair missing from flea bites and weird breathing episodes. 
I brought her back to the vets where the ran a urinalysis and an x-ray. They didn't find anything. In fact they didn't even find concentrated urine. I was told that her urine is so diluted that it's pretty much water and that further testing was going to open a can of worms and (get this), the hospital couldn't absorb the costs for Yukie. 
Yep, you read that right! They stole two years of her life, kept her in a cage, used her for her blood, made money off of her and they can't absorb the cost of her medical needs. In fact they've even made more money off of her by charging to see if she has, Cushings, Addisons, Hypocalcemia, Thyroid issues... 
Well no more! This saturday Yukie is going to a specialist. We think she might have diabetes insipidus. The specialist is going to be expensive I'm sure. I have no idea how much so I just picked a number to reach for as a goal. 
I'm so sick over how ethically bankrupt the vet hospital that had Yukie is. Three generation of my family took their fur babies there. I sent friends there. I spent tens of thousands on rescue there. To think they could really believe they have no moral obligation to her is disgusting. 
I will never go back and I will never recommend them to anyone again.
Yukie is what matters now.

Update: Yukie went to the specialist. We still don't have a final diagnoses but we are on a path. We think this might be her GI tract. Thank you all again.
