Finn swims for IndieRose Foundation

14 year old, Mareeba State High School student and Cairns Surf Club Lifesaver, Finnian Weaver will attempt to swim from Green Island to Yorkeys Knob on the 6th of August 2016. The distance is 27km but Finn will need to be prepared to swim at least 30km. The swim is expected to take between 8 and 9 hours.
Its been over a year since Indie Rose Taurima lost her battle with cancer. Her story touched the hearts of many and Finn was inspired by her story. He is undertaking this swim to raise valuable funds for the Indie Rose Foundation. The Indie Rose Foundation exists to help lessen the financial burden on Far North Queensland families with children who are suffering from illnesses which require specialised medical treatment away from home.
If Finn is successful in completing the swim he will be one of only a handful of people to have ever completed the swim and may even be the youngest ever to complete the swim.
Your assistance would be greatly appreciated in helping him to achieve his goal and to make a difference to the lives of ordinary people.
