You are the lifeline for the Galyon Family

Kim has found a used VAN!!!  Nicholas Galyon was born 25 years ago with spina bifida and cerebral palsy.  Little Nicky will forever be Kim's baby that needs round the clock care. Kim's faith, diligence, and tenacity in the face of life's challenges moved me to start this page.

Kim contacted me at work, and part of my job is to coordinate resources for people in need.  I got all of her details and financial information to find out if there are any resources for her family due to Nicholas's recent illness, her husband's medical condition, and their mother's disability. Right now she has to coordinate rides for wheelchair accessible transportation. She wants a vehicle for her family that can accommodate their medical needs as well as allow them to have a little freedom to leave the house once in a while.

The part of her story that inspired me to ask for your help is the fact that Kim found a used wheelchair accessible van, but could not qualify for the loan. I, along with other state agencies, searched high and low to help Kim.  She makes too much money to get any grants or financial assistance, but she and her husband do not make enough money to free their family from medical debt and qualify for a car loan. 

Kim has been a hard worker and a fighter for her son Nicholas. Other than a nurse that comes to help while she is at work, she has a very limited support system.  She and her husband became increasingly isolated over the years caring for Nicholas.  She truly has nowhere else to turn and has done her due diligence on applying for resources. 

I am hoping that your kindness will show Kim and her family that there is still a lot of love and hope in this world for hardworking caregivers. Could you bless her with a donation in any amount to show her that people do care and miracles do happen?
