Yonit's Solo Album

I’m about to record an album and I want to do it with you. I want to invite you inside the studio to share a special experience, seeing how an album is made – from the writing to the mixing. For many years I was active in the music industry yet hiding behind my bass. Today, I take a step forward. Six years ago I heard an album that changed my life and made me realize that releasing my music is not about me. It's about the resonance of other people with music, my music. To share and face our deepest love, fears, light and courage all together - and this is what this project is about. Sharing the depths of my soul - with you.

The project is run, managed and created by women exclusively! Written, produced, mixed, mastered, arranged and filmed by an amazing collective of women that includes Latin Grammy nominee Marian Gómez Villota, acclaimed mastering engineer Jett Galindo of The Bakery Mastering, videographer Rosa Amanda Tuirán, arrangers Moran Meisles and Jacinta Clusellas and featuring the amazing all-female string quartet The Rhythm Method.
I was hoping this female project would be a celebration of equality in the US. Considering the latest events, I feel like this project has an even greater place in the world today, for this represents the struggle of self-acceptance in the most natural and normal way. An idea that was important to me to send out there for everybody who needs to know that it’s ok to be yourself, face flaws, recognize qualities and face the truth (that doesn’t have to be ugly at all).

Project funding breakdown:
The crowd funding campaign has 5 levels of success. Within passing the first one, you already contributed to an important production layer of the album.

 
Level one:

$700 = string quartet for 3 songs

Level two:

$1,300 = Rhythm section for 5 songs (+all of the above)

Level three:

$3,000 = mixed and mastered (+all of the above)

Level four:

$4,300 = 1 song with small orchestra, 1song with brass section (+all of the above)

Level five:

$5,250 = 2 videos, CDs print (+all of the above)
