Yoga for Student Stress Relief

My name is Diana, and I am a senior in the Medical Magnet at Van Nuys High School in Van Nuys, California. I am enrolled in a new course called AP Research, part of a 2-year CAPSTONE program that exposes high school students to conduct real research.
As a medical magnet student, my research must draw from the medical field. I will carry out a thorough literature review, design my methodology, conduct my research and collect data, analyze the results in a research paper, and present my research. This is an incredible opportunity and invaluable experience for me as well.
My research will focus on Eastern medicine, with an emphasis on yoga and meditation techniques.
Over a 6 week period, a treatment group of 30 students will participate 2 times a week in yoga/meditation sessions after school for an hour. Here is a link to a Summary of my Research including my methods and intended goal of it.
I have recently met with a yoga/meditation instructor whose techniques match exactly with what my research requires. This is her website-her name is Niki Saccareccia and she has worked with the teachers at the school before.
If it is possible, a donation would be greatly appreciated to get this project up and going. I would like to begin my research at the beginning of next year, as soon as our second semester starts in January 2019. I truly believe the implementation of a program like this at this school would do so much for the students - giving them a time in the day to relax and reconnect with their body and mind amidst all the pressures and stress school can result in.
