Donation protected

On 04 June 2017, 12th Yr. AIDS/LifecyclevCyclist, David R. Sears III. & 20th Yr. AIDS/Lifecycle Cyclist, Anthony [Tony] Eason will bike amongst 2,500 other cyclist in the largest AIDS Fundraising Bike Event in the world - AIDS/Lifecycle.

Each year they have enjoyed raising well over their $3,000.00 per cyclist minimum to participate. However, after 32 years [combined] of community service, this year will mark David’s & Tony’s last and final 545 mile, 7 day bike trek from San Francisco to Los Angeles in the fight against the AIDS Pandemic. So, they want ‘TO GO OUT WITH A BANG!”

What do they want?

Averaging 85 mile daily bike treks for seven consecutive days is no easy task. Therefore, sleep is very important.

So! David & Tony have a dream Final Voyage.

After 32 years of persevering through wind, rain, cold temperatures & snoring, David & Tony dream of avoiding the 7 consecutive days of life in a tent.city by having their own Mercedes Sprinter sleep vehicle & bike support driver. Yet, working as a Freelance Clothing Designer [David] & A Yoga Teacher [Tony] their funds are very limited.

Can You Assist Them in Making Their Final Voyage Memorable??

Thank you for taking the time to read this story.

David Sears, AIDS/Lifecycle Rider #1464 | I'm Riding to End AIDS

In 1998; my soul twin Nikki and I registered for a 545 mile bicycle ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles titled California AIDS Ride #5. We thought, “We ride bikes!” so we set a plan in motion.

We needed bikes. We needed to raise the $5,000.00 fundraising minimum to participate. We needed to travel from Los Angeles to San Francisco with the money & the bikes. We had three weeks. Unfortunately, we didn’t make the ride that year. Also,it wasn’t long before Nikki’s health would not allow us to participate.

In 2002, Nikki died from complications with his HIV medications.

In 2006, I saw a flyer for the same event [now titled AIDS/Lifecycle]. I immediately thought of Nikki and registered. I could not do the ride with him but I could do it in honor of him.

I got a bike, I raised the money and I participated in my first AIDS/Lifecycle. During the 7 day bike journey, I discovered: every time my brain & body thought it could not pedal on, Nikki’s spirit pushed me over the mountain.

This year I will embark on my twelfth 7-day, 545-mile bike ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles to make a difference in the lives of people living with HIV and AIDS.

Over the past 12 years, I have personally raised well over $36,000.00 in the fight against the AIDS Pandemic.

Anthony [Tony] Eason, AIDS/Lifecycle Rider #4415 | I'm Riding to Relieve the Suffering of Others

In 1994,, a friend suggested: “sit in the nude & stare into a mirror.” So, I did. And after staring (for 10 minutes) at my face, arms, stomach, eyes, feet and legs, I realized the mirror reflection did not match up with the words pouring out of my mouth.

So, I put down the cocaine; quit drowning in vanity; and became a positive addition to humanity by participating in a 7-day, 545-mile bike ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles. The 545 mile bike experience changed my life while assisting in relieving the suffering of others.

This year I will embark on my twentieth 7-day, 545-mile bike ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles. I’m honored to be able to assist in bettering the lives of others. Also, I am very “proud” of my personal life changes. From a cocaine addict to a road cyclist to a yoga teacher to a marathon runner. It all began with that first 545 mile, 7 day bicycle ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles.

One pedal stroke at a time .. . . .
And one hell of a journey . . . .

Over the past 20 years, I have personally raised well over $60,000.00 in the fight against the AIDS Pandemic.
