The Rodriguez Family memorial Fund

Donation protected
Early morning on December 22nd 2018 my brother in law Marques A. Rodriguez and his 5 month old daughter Izabelle Jalissa Viola Rodriguez we’re involved in a fatal car crash. My sister Sabrina Rodriguez, her son, and other 2 daughters are now grieving the loss of their husband/father & daughter/sister. If this was not tragic enough, while she was with family grieving the loss of her loved ones, my sisters home was broken into and robbed. Our family worked hard to move her out of an unsafe area and are still working to find them a more permanent living situation with the help of our church.
All this isn’t something that we ever expected and we are totally unprepared for. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have started this go fund me account to help take care of their final expenses as well as other expenses related to the loss of her husband/best friend, baby, home, and belongings.
We will be having a Celebration of Life on January 19th at Calvary Community Church in Manteca from 2pm-5pm.
Thank You for all your help, love, sympathies, and prayers. All are greatly needed and appreciated

This has been a very hard time for our family. We all grieve and deal with things in our own way but while we were waiting on all the information relating to the accident before letting everyone know, others have chosen to share misinformation and this is causing more pain. We don’t know when the CHP will be finished with the case but I’ve been told it can take 2 months. So I will tell you what we know.
We lost Marques and baby Izabelle 3 days before Christmas in a terrible, tragic car accident. One vehicle was going the wrong way and it resulted in 3 deaths. My son-in-law Marques, my 5 month old granddaughter Izabelle and a young woman in the other vehicle. All died on impact.
The preliminary report said that it looked like it was Marques that was going the wrong way. There were also a few 911 calls reporting a wrong way driver that aren’t taken into account in that preliminary report.
There have been several news reports and news paper articles all one sided, without all the facts. On social media, on others posts, they are saying horrible things about my family and that is not right. It makes me very sad. These last few things aren’t facts of the case but still add to our pain.
Marques was positively identified yesterday which came with another news paper article and my reason for this statement. The case is not closed, but this is what I have been told from officials so far.
I can’t comprehend how this could happen. It doesn’t make since. No one could plan for something like this. That is why we were waiting. And in the end if it is shown to be the other drivers fault it won’t change what happened.
We don’t believe that Marques was the one going the wrong way. We know that Marques was heading to Ceres and had spoken to two people just 10 minutes before the accident confirming this. He didn’t make it to Ceres.
The Coroner and the CHP met yesterday/Tuesday the 8th and the Coroner told me that they, the CHP, were now stating the other driver was at fault. Modesto has since contacted CHP and released the new information in an article. We are grieving and life isn’t fair. No matter who was at fault it’s terrible and we all lose.
Both drivers leave behind young children, my daughter lost her baby, her husband and her best friend and then there is all the extended family and friends. My heart breaks for all involved.
