Scott Randstrom fund happy valley

$25,860 of $100k goal

Raised by 515 people in 2 days
My sister Leslie and I have created this fundraiser to help our brother Scott who went through a senseless and horrific act of violence in Portland Oregon on 4/19/17 that left him in critical condition with burns to his face and body. Scott just loved to go out for coffee at a local restaurant and work on his computer, “ It's a nice quiet family restaurant and they have great WiFi ”, he said. Wednesday night a stranger came in, threw gas on him and lit him on fire, he is now at the burn center in North Portland. I want to see the smile on his face again, going through a disfiguring trauma like this is life changing both physically and emotionally.  Scott served our country in the military and retired as a Sergeant in the Army.  While Scott is not the type of person to ask for it, he is going to need all of the help he can get, with medical expenses and “ prayers”, while he recovers.

Sandra I'm pretty sure he would be at the Emmanuel Burn Center here in Portland. They are top notch and he would have excellent care there. Unless family states otherwise I would look up their address and send a card there. The staff would certainly make sure he or his family gets it when it arrives. I am trying to find some veteran outlets to share this page to as well so that more funds can come his way. Good start for sure, but I'd like to see this go over the top. He definitely did not deserve for this to happen (no one would) after his years of service. Love to the family and Mr. Randstrom.

I think this would be a wonderful opportunity to pause for a moment and give thanks for the great contributions of the Black community to our society. Their peaceful and generous nature make them ideal neighbors, lending testimony to their exceptional family values and parenting skills unrivaled by any other culture. Their commitment to academic excellence enriches our schools and serves as an example to all who hope to achieve prominence as a people. Real estate values are fueled by the mix of African Americans into an area due to their caring and respectful nature of these communities, an example of all they have achieved through their enthusiasm for self- improvement by hard work and a self-reliant can-do nature. Without their industrious and creative drive, we would be poorer as a nation

I unfortunately don't have any money to offer, but am very disgusted with what this man did. I wish a speedy recovery for the victim in this horrible act and hope the best outcome comes to be, with the healing your family will be going through. Luck & wishes sent.

To Scott and family, we are mortified such a violent random act would affect anyone. Please accept my donation as one of hopefully many from the good people who love and care for others including you.

I'm a single mom without the resources to contribute but I wanted to say how saddened my family is at this senseless act in our neighborhood. We are praying for a quick and full recovery and that this person be arrested before he hurts anyone else.
