An Adaptive Bike for Aurora
Donation protected
I've set up this Go Fund Me to help a childhood friend of mine, Jackie. I haven't seen her in 20 years, but we connected through FaceBook a few years ago where I become aware of her story. Jackie has a sweet 13 year old daughter named Aurora who has Down Syndrome, Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis and is almost legally blind without her glasses.
Aurora experienced the joy of adaptive bike riding in physical therapy. Her parents, Jackie and Aaron, saw how absolutely beneficial an adaptive bike would be in her physical and emotional development and health. An adaptive bike for Aurora would also be a great contributor to her happiness by having the feelings associated with the freedom of riding a bike like all kids.
Unfortunately, the costs of an adaptive bike is out of reach for her family. That's where I am trying to help Aurora realize the dream and joy of her very own adaptive bike. I think it's something everyone can relate to as a child getting your first bicycle.
If you can please donate for Aurora to have her adapative bike dream come true, I would be very appreciative. The costs range about 1300.00 for an adapative bike (www.ambucs.org).
Jim & I will match every dollar donated up to $600.00. Depending on the response, we'll close the Go Fund Me when the target is reached and if over the target donate the overage to the Great Adapative Bike Giveway for other special needs kids to have a chance at a bike.
Thank You So Very Much! Anthony
