Vet Bills for Dallas!

$485 of $2,000 goal

Raised by 25 people in 19 days
Just as we started our trip back from Dallas to Seattle, we heard a howling in our engine. After pulling off the freeway in shock, we noticed a kitten in our engine compartment.
We called the Dallas Fire Department and they rushed out to help us rescue the kitten. After unsuccessful attempts, we drove (slowly) to Cooley Chevrolet Galleria up the street.
An hour and a half later, the awesome staff at Cooley freed the kitten from the engine after removing our wheel and several engine parts.
We decided to name the kitten Dallas Chevy (or DC) and adopt him. After all the trouble we couldn't imagine sending him to a shelter or giving him to someone else. He chose our car as his "shelter" for a reason. He is now our youngest son and we are his parents and love him just as much as his big brother, Captain.
We will be taking Dallas into a vet when we get back to Seattle. He has a broken tail with an open wound, a bum leg, and several other issues like malnutrition and possible worms.
It's going to be a journey for Dallas, and we could sure use the help to make sure he's has a happy and healthy life!

Thank you for supporting our baby, Dallas Chevy (DC). Here’s our latest update. We made it back to Seattle around 2:30 am Saturday morning. Dallas was great on the last leg of our journey from Grandma and Grandpa’s house in Salt Lake City to his new forever home in Seattle. We only had one major bathroom accident about an hour away from home, but Mom handled it famously (she was just tired, I think). We have introduced Dallas to his big brother, Captain, and while it will take a bit of time, Captain is already obsessed with his new baby brother… Dallas not so much. We are getting them familiar with each other, Dallas is safely in his kennel while Captain is slowly sniffing him. All Captain wants to do is play with his new brother, while Dallas is still 50/50 and we think it will be a few more days before we let Dallas out of the kennel. Dallas has his safe place to roam and play in Dad’s office that is a Captain free space. Mom is documenting all of Dallas’ antics and updates on Dallas Chevy’s Facebook page. Thank you all so much for supporting us and helping out our newest fur baby!

Quick update! While we got several offers from media buyers and news channels to license the video, we’re going to hold off and keep this GoFundMe account going to help with the vet bills. Every little bit helps!
