Yazmin battle against Cancer

Hola everybody!
I am here asking for a little help. The reason for this campaign is to fund my good and dear friend Yazmin Aguirre with her battle against Cancer.
Some of you know her and will be shocked by this news! Yazmin & I live in Isla Mujeres, Q. Roo, a small Island off the coast of Cancun. She has lived here for about 13 years and she works as a vacation rental manager. She is an active promoter and sponsor of the Isla Mujeres Scholarship program as well as the Annual Charity for the Little Yellow School House here in Isla Mujeres, a small school for kids with dissabilities. She is also a Yoga intructor and just generally a good hearted person. Her heart lives in Isla Mujeres and she is a good friend of many of us.
It all started last month when she was diagnosed with Colon Cancer. She had to commute to Cancun for several doctor appointments when she finally decided to go to Mexico City for the surgery. She had a foot (30cm) of intestine removed where the tumor was and then Pathology studied the tumor. Thank God the cancer did not spread to any other organ so she is good on that side. Patholgy, however, found Cancer cells in her lymphatic nodes so she will need 6 rounds of chemo over the next 6 months starting at the beginning of November to eliminate the cells and make sure they don't come back to attack another organ.
We are asking you all for your help. As many of you may know, Yazmin and most other residents living in Mexico do not have medical insurance. Medical treatments are often treated with cash payments. Thankfully, Yazmin has had the support of her wonderful family so far to assist her with payments, however, there are many more considerable costs. to come The inital surgery and related treatments cost around $570,000 pesos and the estimated cost of the chemotherapy and related treatments is around $400,000 pesos. This is a grand total of close to $1,000,000 pesos or $60,000 USD.
We are setting our goal at $60,000 USD to eliviate some of the debt she has alredy accrued and prevent her from going into further debt.
If all of her Facebook friends were to donate $20 USD we would hit almost half of our goals. We are counting on people not only donating but spreading the word for her to their Friends and Families who may be able to help us help Yazmin!
