Get Kieran To World Vaulting Champs

Donation protected
Kieran Halliday is a 17 year old equestrian vaulter, who has been chosen to be part of the Australian Equestrian Vaulting team at the 2017 World Equestrian Vaulting Junior Championships in Austria, at the beginning of August 2017.

So what is vaulting you may ask...
equestrian vaulting is a combination of gymnastics and
dance done on horse back to music at a canter in a circle as either individuals or teams of two ( pas-de-daux )or six ( squad).
Kieran was part of the 2017 Team Zelos squad of eight vaulters who competed at the inaugural junior world championships in Holland.
This time around Kieran has qualified to be an indivual vaulter at this years champioships. And he is the first every junior male to compete as an individual at the junior world champs for Australia.

Now a little about Kieran's road to Austria. It all started as seven year old young kid with challenges starting his vaulting career with Riding for the Disable ( RDA) vaulters at Swan Valley RDA.
With his determination and overcoming his challenges from the word go it was clear he was a natural vaulter and with fantastic coaches and many peoples support he is now at the top of his sport.

Today Kieran no longer competes in the RDA vaulting classes, but in the able bodied classes at Equestrian Australia (EA) national competition level, where he was the top male junio vaulter in Australia under 18 years old for 2017. But he has never forgotten his RDA roots and every Saturday coaches the young vaulters coming into the sport at Swan Valley RDA. This resulted in him being nominated and receiving an award in 2015 for the Young People Who Care Awards, from the Premiers Office of Western Australia.

What makes Kieran's acheivements are more incredible is he is the first Western Australian vaulter to represent Australia and first ever RDA vaulter in Australia to make the national team in 2015 and now again as an individual in 2017 .
To achieve this goal he had to travel across Australia from Perth to East Coast of Australia to train the last six month and gone to the USA in last October to compete in Colorado.

With The Australian Equestrian Vaulting Team , Kieran is now leaving for Europe to train with the worlds best in Germany and on some of the best vaulting horses in the world before they compete in Austria in August. He will be away from home for over six weeks.

Kieran would appreciate any donations or contributions or sponsorship to his costs and those of his team to make this dream come true.
