In 2017, I had the very great pleasure of beginning to grow an amazing, positive, welcoming community on Twitch.tv - a community I loving refer to as the Fox Clan, after my screen name, foxeninaboxen (Foxen in a Boxen).
It's come to my attention that a member of our community has been having a pretty rough time, and while this certainly won't fix everything for them, a little financial gift would certainly make a big difference in their everyday stress. My goal is to be able to hand this person a check for between $500 and $800 on February 12th, after three days of fundraising, game playing, and all-around shenanigans on stream over at twitch.tv/foxeninaboxen.
There are some basic necessities and comforts this person does without - and HAS done without for over a year - and they can't seem to catch a break. I think we, as a community, if we pull together, can really help this person.
Currently I have 120 followers on Twitch. $5 each from 120 people would put us OVER our goal.
While I will do a small video when handing over the check to the recipient, I ultimately am going to protect their privacy and their identity. I will not reveal the real name or the screen name of the beneficiary. They do not know I'm doing this, they have not asked me for help, and I am 100% taking action because I have the ability to help and therefore I feel that I am morally obligated to do so.
