Pastor Les Cole Needs Our Help!
Thank you so much for visiting the fundraising campaign page for Pastor Les Cole. He is the Senior Pastor at LifePointe Fellowship in Victoria, TX.
Many of you know his story but we want to provide background for those that may not know some of the details.
Pastor Les was recently admitted to the Cardiac ICU at Memorial Hermann Hospital in the Houston Medical Center. He was admitted for complications caused by worsening heart failure.
Originally, the goal was to find a medication regimen that would help Les get back to his everday routine. Unfortunately, during the early course of this hospitalization, it was determined that Pastor Les will not be leaving the hospital in Houston without a heart transplant.
Les's heart failure is caused by a medical condition called idiopathic cardiomyopathy. For many years, doctors and specialists have tried to identify exactly what was causing his heart problems but nothing has been found. Despite Les's best efforts and working hard to stay as healthy as possible, his heart failure has continued to slowly worsen over time. Over the last few months, his heart and health has rapidly declined.
Pastor Les is now in the ICU on multiple IV medications to help keep his blood pressure up and to keep fluid off his lungs and the rest of his body. He also is on bedrest and has an intra-aortic Balloon Pump which is helping his heart pump enough blood to the rest of his body. He is getting great care but needs a heart transplant.
Here is a picture of Tisa and Les when he was feeling a little healthier. Tisa has been with Les throughout all of the doctor visits and hospitalization and their love and faith is stronger than ever.
Les and Tisa have four great kids: Trey, Taylor, Trent and Tia. This is a very close knit family and they are lifting their father/husband up in prayer.
The financial aspect of the medical care necessary for Pastor Les is significant. On average, a heart transplant costs close to $1,000,000. This does not include the $5,000-$11,000 in monthly anti-rejection medication costs or the additional expenses incured after the transplant. The Cole's medical insurance will cover the bulk of the transplant costs but there is still a huge financial burden associated with the transplant that will get passed on to Les and Tisa. This is one area that we can help!
The money donated here will all go directly to Les and Tisa to be used towards any expenses associated with the transplant, hospitalization, medications or the recovery process. The sooner we can get the money together, the sooner we can help take the financial stress off of them and help them focus on just getting Pastor Les healthy and back home.
More than anything, Pastor Les and the family would like for everyone to pray for healing and direction. They would also like us to pray for a few specific things:
