First Car For Chasity Hunter

I've started saving for a car. I've felt the need for a car ever since I've started working. Commute times on the RTA can range from 2 to nearly 3 hours just to get from UNO to court. There is also an issue with safety when it comes to taking the bus, especially at night. There have been countless times that I've been harassed or touched without my consent on a bus. Also, a car would let me work more freelance jobs and get to more events. I want to be able to work off campus easily, commute safely, and have independence. I have my license and I have had lots of practice driving.

I've been thinking about this for over 2 years, and I have confidence that now is the time to actually do it. I've been saving since April, and I plan to have about $4,000 saved by September for my vehicle - that's excluding the GoFundMe donations. I know that I will be able to afford insurance and gas with my student-worker job during the semester. I started a GoFundMe to help pay for insurance expenses and any repairs that come up.
