Please help save our dog!

Miley is a beautiful, wonderful little dog that is 7 years old and an important part of our family for the past seven years. She's helped us cope through tough times, she brings us so much joy every day, and we love her so much. Now she needs our help.

A few weeks ago, we noticed she was eating less, drinking lots of water, and urinating often. She started having accidents at night, which she never did before. We got her blood and urine tested, and we were told to bring her to the hospital right away. It turns out she has both diabetic ketoacidosis and pancreatitis. She didn’t respond to the insulin, she’s lost a lot of weight, and the pancreatitis was causing nausea and lack of appetite, which made it harder to give her the insulin at all. She's been in the emergency hospital getting tests and treatment, even getting an internal medicine specialist to try new treatments. The specialist tried more expensive insulin and antibiotics and a feeding tube. Each day of treatment, examinations, and medications has become more than we can afford; we’re already financially struggling and don’t know how much longer we can keep this going.  We believe in our hearts it isn’t Miley’s time. Diabetes is manageable and common for dogs her breed, but she has to get better before we can start to properly manage her health.

All funds will go directly to her treatments, as well as diabetic food, needles, etc. once she gets out of the hospital. We greatly appreciate any and all assistance, and will post regular updates as things go.
