Send CALO to Harvard

Donation protected
Students Stephanie Ponce and Sergio Quintero, and teacher Genaro Ulloa recently were invited to present a workshop at the Harvard Alumni of Color Conference this March. They are to present on how their academic research was applied to develop and coordinate the public art exhibit Ambularte last November (http://hyperallergic.com/252268/an-la-community-fights-the-discovery-of-its-neighborhood-by-commercial-art-galleries/

Unfortunately, the school is not able to fund this incredible opportunity. We are asking that you support our efforts to make it to the conference and show Harvard how real community-based education is done.
Funds will be used for airfare, sleeping accomodations, and food. We need to raise $3000 before March.
This is a rare and incredible opportunity for these students to showcase the power of community organizing and education. It not only has changed their lives, but their story could influence how educators understand the connection between community and education.
Thank you so much for your generous contributions!
