Help homeless veteran & his cat

No story has troubled us at Angelcat Haven so deeply as "Joe" and Trickster. Joe (name changed for privacy), a retired veteran & prior nurse, and his furry companion, a 16 year old cat named Trickster, have been homeless, living in their car for 2 years. Everything they own is either ruined in the back of the leaky trunk or stuffed in the back seat of the small sedan they call home. Angelcat Haven fosters/volunteers jumped in to temporarily house Trickster while Joe needed to be hospitalized & when I met Joe, we bonded almost immediately. I spoke to the volunteers at ACH and we agreed we had to do more...not just for Trickster but for Joe. Joe fought for us and we were to return the favor. We have since started the Trickster Fund. Trickster will be getting all veterinary services covered and his food will be provided by those who have donated pet food to KEWL(a separate service founded by then 9 year old Taylor & her brother Mattie who are ACH's presidents children). Funding collected for Joe and Trickster will go towards necessities needed now & once they are in a home. We are currently assisting him obtain the appropriate documentation so he can apply for any VA benefits he can utilize. When they are comfortably settled in & enjoying their new home, new furniture, new clothes & new outlook on life, Joe is very excited to begin working again and getting back to the life he once had. We are so thankful to everyone who has donated thus far, a total of $2055...WOW! Everyone can still help in many ways. Sharing his story to create awareness for our homeless veterans & homeless pets.
