Keith Jones known to many as ‘KJ’ Born June 27, 2001, departed this life on September 23, 2014 while standing outside of his home waiting on his school bus. ‘KJ’ was struck and killed by a hit and run driver. He was a loving child with a giant heart full of love to his family, and friends. His parents made the decision to donate his heart because they knew that’s what ‘KJ’ would have wanted. ‘KJ’ was passionate about sports and a well-rounded competitor, playing football, basketball, and softball.

His parents Keith Sr. and D.Marie Jones, have embarked on a journey to keep his memory alive and give youth an opportunity to thrive in their passion for athletic sports activities.
In honoring the memory of Keith “KJ” Jones, The Keith Jones Athletic Memorial Foundation (KJAMF) was established in 2015. The memorial foundation goals is to Design and Purchase an Athletic Memorial park in Wendell North Carolina, Eastern Wake County. KJAMF, will sponsor youths and other non-profit organized teams with structured and supervised Athletic sports programs that emphasize sportsmanship, teamwork and good character.
