I know now that spiritually for myself, the children in my dream, and the victims affected by the recent earthquake in Nepal that not only making it to Everest will change my life but also allow me to raise money for children who have lost loving parents to support them in their adventures like mine have be able to for me. Please enjoy my story and I hope you will join me on a journey that will change hundreds of childrens lives so they can live their dreams just like I am.....

I don’t dream often when I sleep; I have had two dreams that have influenced my life decisions. My most recent dream was a vision, my hajj, my spiritual discovery of grace, serenity, peace. It was the ultimate peak of deeper self discovery to prove my conviction and character.
Thus the vision began: I breathe in and the thin freezing air hits my lungs and permeates my body like cool water. My eyes opened, the rust color of the magnificent mountain side was strewn with streaks of flowing snow wedged into the wrinkles of the rock. I was sitting. My face burned from the wind. The sun was shining brilliantly, but I welcomed the cold drifts of breeze off the valley. Sun bleached pieces of hair whipped across my face. Three small clothed children breathlessly laughed and ran around me packed into red coats like rosy cheeked puffy marshmallows. I looked out again onto the mountain side. I knew I was changed. I am at peace. Thus the dream ended.
Two weeks later, 11:30am I’m sitting outside my favorite coffee shop, my homemade lunch lain on the metal crosshatch table, legs awkwardly crossed, my book has never been better and the sun continued to warm my tanned face. A man not too incomparable to Morgan Freeman approached me and introduces himself as Stan. He tells me he is glad to see that there are still people who can truly be at peace with their lives. I listen to his stories of his recent trip to Paris, he tells me that my body shows that I am waiting for something big to happen. Earlier in the week at a photoshoot I wore a bracelet from Nepal, and the name continued to resonate in my head. I decided to tell him my dream. Stan’s smile was knowing and he said, “ Do not rush your dream, let it grow.” Somehow he knew something I didn’t about my next adventure.
Google search: images; Nepal. The first picture loaded and my dream came to life. I clicked the picture and it was Everest base camp, the link led me to a website about trekking to Everest base camp. I started emailing the coordinators. I have to talk to my parents. My goal now is to make them understand that this is not just a dream or a crazy idea, it’s something I need to do. I have to get to Everest base camp before graduation, know I can get there. The one thing I cannot live without is being the most human, curious part of myself…really my life is nothing without adventure… Thus my life begins.
