Jean's Hope for a Cure-Cancer Fund

Just over a year ago, my friend and co-worker, Jean Taylor was diagnosed with Breast Cancer.  Over a six month period, Jean went to appointments, treatments and leading up to a full mastectomy.  Through the months of chemotherapy, Jean would still come in to work every day with a smile and show off her new hair wrap or wig.  Her laughter and positive outlook kept everyone around her cheering her on to get better.  In February 2015, Jean returned to work and was on the road to recovery.  This past July, Jean started to feel exhausted and unable to catch her breath and went in for some tests.  On August 11, 2015, a year after Jean’s battle began, she received tragic news. The cancer has returned with a vengeance.   Doctors have told Jean her biggest chances of survival would be entering into a clinical study. Unfortunately, there are no clinical study groups at this time in Florida.  After an intensive search and numerous calls in pursuit of a clinical trial to join, Jean received a call from Texas and was accepted to come out to their hospital for further tests.

Jean is a single mother of three loving boys, who have already lost their father.  She has supported and guided them on her own to succeed in school and life.  Jean has worked with the Osceola County Sheriff's Office since October 2012, coming back into the workforce after tending to the needs of her growing boys, who were soon to become men.  Jean loves to laugh and has had indescribable strength during this trying time.  Jean has a long road ahead of her and many medical costs she will be incurring during her clinical trials. The stress of what she is going through is unimaginable and helping offset some of her medical and travel expenses would remove some of the financial worries.  I thank you in advance for supporting Jean and helping her on the road to recovery, no amount is too small.
