I need help defending my self against a libel/slander lawsuit filed against me by DeLand Animal Hospital. I wrote a review describing what happened to my standard poodle, Rembrandt, after taking him to DeLand Animal Hospital at 3:10 PM on Saturday, 03-31-18.
Rembrandt was diagnosed by DeLand Animal Hospital as needing emergency surgery to repair a ruptured spleen.
At 9 PM, they requested that I pick Rembrandt up and take him somewhere else because they did not have a surgeon who could do the surgery. By then, after keeping him for 6 hours, it was too late for my beloved companion, and I had to have him euthanized.
The legal fees to defend myself against this frivolous lawsuit is approaching $17,000, (as of 01-30-19) and as a retired 73 year old living on social security this is extremely difficult, but I will not give up fighting to let people know what can happen to their own pet if taken to DeLand Animal Hospital.
