Kailyn's Missions

I am 16 years old. When I was young I had a little brother, Noah. Noah had a rare genetic disease and spent most of his life in the hospital. But Noah was always smiling. He gave so much joy to everyone he met. After Noah passed away, giving became a big part of my life. We moved countries just to volunteer with sick kids. Noah was so young, but made such a big impact in the world and I want to do the same. I now have many different projects, two main ones, Hampers and Shoeboxes. I came up with idea one thanksgiving, three years ago, that I didn't just want to deliver meals one time, I wanted to make a bigger difference in their lives. EveryThanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter I make and deliver food hampers and treats  to families in downtown Orlando. It's hard for me to see the kids that are just like me with a look of fear in their eyes. Unlike me, they don't know if they are going to have supper that night. They don't get to go home to a nice, air conditioned house and sleep in a comfy bed. Most of these families can't afford to have a nutritious meal every day let alone special treats during the holidays. The parents can't afford to give even a single gift to their children. This may be the only gift the receive. They now recognize us and come running to the car when we come. Instead of fear, they are filled with hope that somebody out there is looking out for them and that they are loved. The feeling of knowing that I am a part of their lives is unbelievable. But I'm just one girl. I need people like you to help me! The  solution to this problem is so simple. Please donate and SHARE with your friends! This small gesture gives these families so much peace and happiness! I am only 15 years old but I am totally capable of making a change in the world. Some people only say "oh, that girl is so sweet", but don't donate because they think this is bigger than them. It's not. It's me in my front living room stuffing bags and praying over each one and then getting together with friends to deliver them. I a dependent on you to support me. Please donate and then SHARE! For thanksgiving we received donations from people I didn't even know because people shared my post. It felt so amazing. I have also started another project of making shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child. People make boxes and OCC sends them all around the world to children who have next to nothing. For most this is the first gift they have ever received. They are told about Jesus and have the opportunity to go through a bible study with a church. These boxes are so valuable because it is a tangible way to show God's love. These children may have never heard of God and how he truly loves them. I can't wait to find out in Heaven how many children have come to Christ through me. You can make a difference in a life too. One box may seem small to us but to the child who receives it, it is truly life changing. I am asking for donations of either supplies or money to make as many boxes as possible. My goal is 300 this year and thanks to some generous donations already I am up to approximately 130. Consider sponsoring a box or a couple boxes. They cost me $15 to make. $15 to change a child's life. Donations can be made through this page. If you message me a picture of your family or a specail message, I will put it in the box for the child so they know who loves them and cares about them far away in North America. Get your kids involved.
