On Monday, January 30th, what was to be a regular day turned into something unexpected. Ms. Arnold had left for work and her son Darin had just picked Estella up from work.

Everything was turned upside down. The porch had caught fire due to a malfunctioning electric space heater. The fire engulfed the dining room, living room, kitchen and a majority of the ceiling/roof of the house. Thankfully, everyone (Darin, Estella, Pikachu - the dog, Sofia - the cat) made it out safely.

Luckily, the family bedrooms and the basement weren't severely damaged. Aside from each room having water damage and soot, the family was still able to get some of their belongings.

Although the insurance will be able to cover most of the items lost in the fire, the family will still need help. For example, they will need to cover the other costs such as food, water, personal hygiene products and fixing the cars damaged by the massive blaze.

The goal on this page is by no means the definite amount. It was merely added because it couldn't be left blank. Whatever you can donate will be greatly appreciated.
