School At Sea

Hello, my name is Elie Largura, I am 16 years old and currently live in Santa Barbara, California and attend the local High school as an 11th grader. I was born and raised here and love it, but I am also very eager and curious to see the world. I got an amazing opportunity to attend a semester of high school on a Norwegian tall ship. We will sail the ship, work hard everyday on the ship, and continue 5 hours of school every day. Every student has their part in sailing this big ship every day (and night). We will visit many different ports around the Atlantic ocean and while at the ports, we will learn about the cultures and spend time in in the communities giving back in ways that specific community is in need.

I am working most days after school to contribute towards the tuition. My parents are helping out a lot. I will work full time all summer putting all of my earnings into the tuition. My family and I have determined that we are $10,000 short in making this happen. I am asking for help and 100% of your donation will go to the  tuition at A+ World Academy.  This is my dream, I will learn so much about the world and myself. I will learn how to manage a ship that has 27 sails on it! I will learn how to cope with uncomfortable living conditions that I'm not used to. I want to be pushed out of my comfort zone because I've been living in comfort for my whole life. I believe this opportunity is once in a lifetime. 

The only thing holding me back is this last bit of financial assistance. I am hoping to reach my goal of 10,000 by July 15th, 2019.  I hope to start A+ World Academy on August 10th and this site will end on Aug 10, 2019.
