Hurricane Irma Recovery Assistance

Hurricane Irma, the biggest hurricane ever recorded, has caused catastrophic devastation that wiped out some of the upper and and a lot of lower keys. My father- Paul of Key Lime Sailing Club and cottages and the American Sailing Academy in Key Largo, had just purchased the South Dade Marina on a shoe string with mostly owner financing in Feburaury of this year.

Due to the devastation our brand new sailboat exclusive marina was under 3.5 feet of water, that covered the land and our docks. About 40% of our docks were destroyed, boats are still left sunken and thrown about, and parts of the building destroyed. Rebuilding the docks for our wonderfully planned Eco Kayaking tours , Sailing school, Sailboat rentals and charters is more than we currently have. We are looking for your help and commitment.

You can help raise money for the restoration of our marina and docks. Our ecotourism helps raise awareness of the beautiful Florida Keys environment. In addition to Ecotourism, we also provide a learn to sail volunteer program, where people from all over the world come to learn how to sail in exchange for helping out around the Florida Keys.

Anything helps, our docks will cost around $185,000 to repair. Funds raised will go directly towards the marina's rehabilitation; paying for the workers, feeding and housing the volunteers, and for supplies and tools to rebuild our docks and marina facilities. 

Donations of $250 will get, in return, a one day rental on a 22' Catalina. Dontations of $350 obtain a one day rental on a 24' Hunter. Donations of $450 get a one day rental on a 33' Morgan. Donations of $795 get an ASA 101 Learn to Sail certification class, $1500 gets an ASA 101 Learn to Sail certification class for two, $2650 gets an ASA 101 Learn to Sail certification class for four and $6,500 gets a captained 7 day charter on an all electric 47' Lagoon catamaran getaway.
