Kosovo Expedition in Everest 2017
Alpine Club Prishtina is in the ongoing preparation for the expedition to conquer Everest in Nepal which is an expedition dedicated to the canonization of Mother Teresa as a saint. Five mountaineers will start this expedition in the end of March, 2017.
Until now, there have been a lot of mountain preparations linked directly to climbing Everest. Some of the technical and conditional preparations include: the conquering of Mount Blanc (France), Kilimanjaro (Tanzania), Matterhorn (Switzerland) and others are to be continued.
The importance of this expedition is based on the fact that the Albanian mountaineers will deliver a powerful message of peace from the top of the world, as a form of a message for the Albanian community and the great human power of Mother Teresa.
A part of this expedition is a well known climber, Arineta Mula, who is the first Albanian woman to try to conquer Everest.
The climbers of this expedition are fully devoted and dedicated to achieve a common goal; they represent the worth of the alpinism community by reflecting alpine, sport and cultural virtues of our country.
The expedition members are: Nazmi Hasanramaj, Arineta Mula, Qendrim Sopi and Haki Hasanramaj.
