Helping a friend in need

Hello everyone. Basically i have a best friend and his family whose in dire need of help. I have refrained from posting pics of him and his family cause if he were to find out. Hed be embarrassed. I actually had to delete him from facebook to make sure he never sees this. My friend has a wife and 4 kids. His landlord wasnt paying the mortgage to the house for a about 2 years now and put herself in debt so the banks taking the house and putting it up for auction. He recently just got laid off his job so its bad timing all together. They have untill middle of febuary to find a place and move out. They tried everything they could legally and got nowhere so they need a way to come up with money to pretty much move into a new place. I dont know whats a good amount so i just put $5,000. Hes a wonderful man with a wonderful family who is always there whenever ive needed him. Hes actually bailed me out of quite a few situations. I wish i could do more and it kills me to see them in this situation so im hoping i can raise enough if even they can get 1st and last months rent in for wherever they decide to go so please help if you can.
