WWII Veteran Millie Bloom in need!

Hey everyone. I've got something important to share. Meet Millie. She is a 96 year old World War II Veteran who served in the U.S Coast Guard Women’s Reserve.  She is legally blind, and has been staying in a private board and care residential home for the past four years. Trouble is, she is running out of money to pay for her stay. Her family and friends have predeceased her, the V.A is not covering the costs, and is taking a long time to get back to her regarding potential financial benefits. If she cannot continue to make her payments,  she will have to go to a care home provided by the county. The care that she would receive would not be near as good as what she is receiving now. It costs $3000 a month for her to stay at her current place. My goal is to raise 12,000 dollars which would cover about 4 months payment. Any little bit helps. Millie is a sweet  woman who served our country honorably and she deserves the best. 


(Little bit about me... I'm Erin, I  served 5 years in the Navy and I am currently living in Everett, WA. I met Millie through my grandmother, who lives with her at the same board and care home.  Since we were both in the military, her story struck a chord with me. I will be making monthly withdrawals, as is required by GoFundMe. The money will be withdrawn and presented in the form of a check for her care.)
